Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a role-playing game where you play as a young Rider. On Hakolo Island, you meet Ena and leave the island with her, protecting the egg entrusted by Guardian Ratha. The egg hatches into a small-winged Rathalos, unable to fly.
The game focuses on collecting and hatching Monster eggs into Monstie companions. You can befriend various monster species like Brachydios, Seregios, Nargacuga, and add them to your party. The turn-based combat system with three attack types: Power, Speed, and Technical, allows you to predict and counter opponents effectively.
Through the Rite of Channeling ceremony, you can transfer genes between Monsties to create unique Monsties with new skills and abilities. The game provides six familiar weapon types from the Monster Hunter series. The multiplayer mode allows you to connect with players worldwide for cooperative hunting and battles. There are also additional downloadable content.
